If you are looking to maximize your power with the fewest number of modules, these larger formats are an excellent choice. This is a 78-cell module, in a split-cell format. Split-cell simply means that 78 cells are used, but are cut in half for better electrical performance, and the module is divided into two sections, which improves performance in partial shade conditions, snow shedding, and soiling situations. The module is the same width as most commercial modules (approx 1m or 40″), but is 6″ longer than the common 72-cell format. Having the additional power, means greater fill-factor on most residential rooftops, and results in system cost savings.
