Description Yeti 1250 Replacement Battery Unit model 91009. Voltage : 12V Capacity (20hr) : 100AHr Sealed AGM Lead Acid Terminals : M8 This is the standard SLA (Sealed Lead-Acid) battery for the Yeti 1250, and the TANK Expansion Modules. The Best Replacement For The Replacement… In 2021, Goal Zero stopped supplying this Yeti 1250 replacement battery. But, don’t despair! We have another model that fits the Yeti 1250 case, and provides improved performance. Best of all, it’s from one of our leading manufacturers of deep cycle batteries used in a variety of solar applications. Here it is : HUB HC12-100 NOTE: This is a lead-carbon AGM, which is superior to what was originally installed in your Yeti 1250. This is also ideally suited to your Yeti 1250 power station. It is an improvement on the original battery, as the lead-carbon AGM format offers more than twice the normal cycle life of standard AGM batteries. Better partial state-of-charge. Longer cycle life. Drop-in replacement for the original. All Yeti functionality remains. It’s a no-brainer! Considering bringing your Yeti 1250 into the Lithium world? Consider replacing with a lithium battery instead. Instead of 600Wh of useable storage, 500 cycle-life, and a sore hip lugging your Yeti 1250 around, you can have over 1,100Wh of storage, 4,000 cycle-life, and half the weight. A few Lithium Iron Phosphate drop-in replacements to consider… Discover : DLB-G24-12V (with built-in Bluetooth battery monitor!) HUB Power : HUB-12.8-100-LFP-24 Go Power Sun Cycle : GP-LiFePO4-100 CanBat : CLI100-12 CanBat : CLI100-12LT (heated model for low temperature operation) Notes regarding Lithium replacement… Your Yeti 1250’s charging system and display monitor were designed for use with lead-acid AGM. So although these will work with drop-in LiFePO4 batteries, there will be some quirks. 1. The top-end of the charging cycle will be slow. AGM charging setpoints are a bit lower than those used on Lithium, so charging the lithium will be slow once the battery reaches approx 75% full. Not a problem for the battery. Just slow to completely fill it up. 2. The monitor will lie to you. Again, because the native voltage of a Lithium battery is higher than AGM, the Yeti 1250 display might say it is at 80% full when it is actually at 20% full. An easy reference to make. 3. Cell balancing Many Lithium (LiFePO4) batteries use the upper limit of the charging cycle to perform cell balancing. Since the Yeti’s charging system operates at a lower voltage, this balancing will likely not take place. If you find that Yeti 1250 Replacement Battery Unit
